Five persons, two men and three v.jjmeii, we.> badly cut by flying glass when th car in which they were travelling from Auckland to Katikati crashed into a telegraph post on the Hauraki Plains, owing to a tyre bursting last ovenir»y. The car was badly damaged, the whole front being smashed. The accident interrupted all telegraphic communications with Auckland.
