ATTENDANTS’ FROCKS OF PINK AND GOLD GOBLE—DIXON The wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Alorrinsville, on Tuesday, of Mary Hamilton, youngest daughter of Mr. and Airs. W. Dixon, of Walton, to Thomas Edgar Goble, of Morrinsville. Canon Gillespie officiated, and Airs. M. F. Barlow, of Walton, played the wedding music. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock with closefitting bodice of silver lame and skirt of satin beaute, with uneven hemline and panels of white tulle, with hipbow of silver lame and satin. Her embroidered veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms arranged with tiny sprays at each side, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white lilies, freezias and daffodils, with fronds of asparagus and white ribbon streamers. The matron of honour, Airs. Hester Kirk, sister of the bride, and the bridesmaid. Aliss Joan Watson, were dressed alike in frocks of shell-pink crepe matine. trimmed with gold lace. They wore fawn felt hats, the matron of honour’s being trimmed with pink and silver motifs, and that of the bridesmaid with green and mauve ribbon velvet streamers, finished with rhinestone ornament to tone. The little flower girls. Rae Gwillim and Nola Kirk, wore ankle-length frocks of shell-pink crepe matine and tulle head-dresses, and they carried dainty baskets of flowers and ferns. Air. Roy Goble, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. and Air. Alfred Dixon, brother of the bride, was groomsman. After the ceremony a number of guests were entertained at a reception in the Lounge Tea Rooms, by the bride’s mother. Airs. W. Dixon, who wore a frock of navy satin and carried a posy of violets with streamers to tone. The bride’s travelling costume was of fawn and beige worsted with bat to tone, and the ensemble was completed with a set of Thibet furs. Air. and Airs. Goble will reside in Alorrinsville.
