MATAMATA WEDDING

CHURCH IS DECORATED WITH AUTUMN FLOWERS BAUCKE—WRIGHT At All Saints’ Church, Matamata, on Monday morning the marriage of Isabel Charlotte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. A. Wright, of Te Poi, to Edward Reginald, eldest son of Mrs. E. Baucke, of Taupiri, took place, the officiating minister being the Rev. C. W. Turner.

The church was prettily decorated with autumn flowers and the wedding music was played by Mr. F. G. Southon, of Te Poi.

The bride, who entered the church with her father, was prettily gowned in a long sleeved frock of ivory celanese taffeta, with flared skirt and embroidered bodice. Her veil of white tulle was embroidered and caught at the head with sprays of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and pale pink roses. Mrs. MacCartland, of Te Poi, as matron of honour, was dressed in a picture frock of pastel pink spun crepe de chine, the skirt dipping to ankle length at the sides and the bodice had a bolero flounce effect. A close-fitting hat to match was trimmed with small pink sprays and her bouquet was of pale pink carnations and roses. Little Miss Galli Madsen was flower girl, wearing a dainty frilled frock of

betty blue taffeta and she carried a basket of flowers. Mr. R. Baucke, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Rialto, where Mrs. Wright, in a gown of dove-grey milanglon, with hat to tone and bouquet of violets, received the guests. Mrs. Baucke, mother of the bridegroom, wore black satin beaute with hat and marabout fur to match. The bride’s travelling costume was of brown shaded tweed, with hat and fur to match.

The future home of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Baucke will be in Taupiri.
