COMING-OF-AGE IS CELEBRATED

JOLLY PARTY AT GREENLANE

A very pleasant evening was spent at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. Bridge. Green Lano, on Wednesday evening to celebrate the coming of age of Maisie McAuley, who wore a frock of ivory satin and silver lace. The evening was spent in dancing, games and musical items were given by Mrs. X. AlcLoughlin, junr., Messrs. P. Hennessy, H. Roper and J. Dunne. Prizes were won during the evening by Miss P. Curran and Mr. J. Prendergast. A toast was proposed for the health and future welfare of Miss McAuley by Mr. W. Bridge, who also presented her with a silver key on which were engraved her initials. On her behalf Mr. M. F. Judd replied. The hostess, assisted by the guest of honour, received the guests, wearing a frock of green lace and silver. Among the guests were:

Mrs. McLoughlin, junr., apricot crepe de chine; Miss P. Curran, moonlight blue georgette; Miss M. Pullen, black ring velvet relieved with mauve; Miss V. Horrocks, black satin beaute studded with diamente; Miss V. Gaffney, black and silver lace over shell pink; Miss J. Barry, figured taffeta; Miss It. Judd, green georgette; Miss Smith, pink charmeuse; Miss AT. Christie, flame taffeta; Miss S. Robinson, black lace.
