UNEMPLOYED MAKE PLEA TO GOVERNMENT BUT WORK IS PREFERRED Another meeting of unemployed in the City was held this morning in St. Matthew's Hall, when 250 men attended. The permanent chairman, Mr. G. Murphy, presided. The following resolution was forwarded to the Minister of Labour: —“In event of failure to provide work for all unemployed the Government is asked to maintain them until work is available." The secretray. Mr. J. O'Carroll, resigned, and Mr. G. Budd was appointed in his place.
