AN OLD IDEA
THE GOOD MORNING CLUB A member of the Morningside Health and Success Club declares that the Good Morning Club now being formed in Wellington has stolen its patent for the spreading of a spirit of goodwill. According to a letter written by Mr. James Toomatli. Wellington must be following, not. leading Auckland. The new club, Mr. Toomatli asserts, must have obtained one of the Health and Success membership pledges and is trying to follow a good example. The formulae of the respective clubs are similar. Auckland members pledge themselves to start the day with a genuine ‘good morning” to all in their homes. Their motto is to be cheerful and generally to promote healthy, happy and successful lives. Members of the club will be assisted in times of sickness and distress, and lectures and debates will be held to instruct members how to combat fear, worry and poverty and failure. Members will be equipped with a practical psychology to help them out in the daily irritations of life.
