AUSTRALIA OFFERED LOAN
SYDNEY, Monday.
The Federal Treasurer, Mr. E. G. Theodore, states that overtures have been made to him by a group of New York financiers to lend the Commonwealth £20,000,000. However, their terms were not attractive and the negotiations have terminated.
