BRUSSELS NET VEIL WORN BY EVENING BRIDE
APPLE-GREEN AND CORAL PINK CHOSEN BY ATTENDANT MAIDS BARNETT—JACKSON Tlie wedding: -was celebrated at the Pitt Street Methodist Church last Saturday evening of Edna, eldest daughter of Mrs. E. and the late Mr. P. Jackson, of Onehunga, to Edward, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Barnett, of Futaruru. The Rev. J. ’Walker officiated. Entering the church on the arm of her uncle, Mr. A. Reid, the bride was gowned in a frock of creme crepe de soie, fashioned with a tight-fitting-bodice from which fell a scalloped flared skirt, dipping to her ankles at the back. Her brussels net veil which formed a graceful train was held in place with orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of cream and pink chrysanthemums. In attendance as bridesmaids were Misses Mavis and Evelyn Jackson, sisters of the bride, wearing frocks fashioned alike in apple-green and coral pink respectively. They wore tight-fitting satin bodices with full tulle skirts dipping to the ankles at the back and daintily trimmed with rings of small rosebuds, finished at tlie back with soft satin bow. Their short tulle veils were trimmed with small rosebuds and they carried shower bouquets to tone. Mr. C. Jones acted as best man and Mr. C. Aspden was groomsman. Mrs. E. Jackson, mother of the bride, wore an ensemble suit of navy bengalinc with wine trimmings, and hat to tone. Mrs. IV. G. Barnett, mother of the bridegroom, wore a blue tailored frock and hat to match.
