SALE OF WORK

SUCCESSFUL AFTERNOON AT NORTHCOTE

The Ladies’ Guild of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church held a most successful sale of work, in aid of the guild funds, in the parish hall on Thursday afternoon. Two interesting competitions which caused much merriment were won by Mosdames P. Cross and E. Munro. Miss Veda Hutchinson and Mrs. H. Hunt, jun.. gave vocal items, Miss Claire being the accompanist.

The stallholders were as follow; Needlework, Mrs. A. Taylor, Miss L. Couldrey. and Mrs. E. Munro; sweets, Mrs. A. Harrison; afternoon tea, Mesdames Curtis and Kendall. The sum realised from the sales at the stalls was augmented by liberal contributions from supporters of the guild.
