ANIMAL WELFARE
Most of the funds necessary for the proposed erection of a separate ward for cats at the Blue Cross Hospital, New Lynn, have been given, according to a report presented at a meeting this week of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Mr. L. E. Rhodes, who presided, reported that the jumble sale held recently had resulted in the sum of £55 being raised. The following were appointed honorary inspectors:—Mr. A. R. Cole, City; Mr. C. A. Aiken, Te Mr. J. C, Jones, Onehunga.
