GOVERNOR-GENERAL’S VISIT The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe. was much impressed, on a recent visit to the Auckland Zoo, with the lay-out of the grounds and the interesting collection of animals. In a letter to the City Council last evening, the military secretary to his Excellency wrote that Lord Bledisloe desired him to congratulate the Mayor and the city on the beauty of the site of'the .zoo, the excellence of its layout, with streets and flowers, the interesting collection of animals and birds, and the expert knowledge and humane consideration which governed the accommodation of the animals.
