WHY OTAGO PULLED OUT From Our Otcii Correspondent HAMILTON, Monday. Disappointment and surprise were felt by a big section of the pubHc v. hen it was found that Otago was not represented in the rowing competition in connection with the inter-university tournament held at Auckland at Raster.

“It is not generally known that tU* solo reason why Otago’s Varsity did not appear was because the Otag# Rowing Association refused to US an eight for us to practise in. stated a member of the Otago crew in private advice received in Hamilton- “ The men had been selected and were training for some weeks in smaller boats and were very disappointed at the move of the Otago Association.”
