SOCCER SEASON ENDS
British Official Wireless _ RUGBY, Sunday. The final matches of the Association football season were played yesterday. Sheffield is again c iam- i pion of the lirst division of the Leaguewhich position it occupied last year. Derby County is runner-up. Ever* ton and Burnley finished at the bottom of the first division and are relegated to the second division. Blackpool and Chelsea are the champion and runner-up respectively in the second division. Both have earned promotion into the first division. Kott* County and Hull City were at thj bottom and descend to the third j division.
Plymouth finished at the head of th* southern section of the third division, and Port Vale finished top of the northern section. Both enter the second division.
