HOWELL-WILLIAMS SHIELD HIKUTAIA WINS FINAL From. Our Oxen Correspondent THAMES, Wednesday. Hikutaia, for the second season in succession, triumphantly closed its tennis season by carrying off the ITowell-Williams Memorial Shield--a trophy commemorating two exmembers of the club who died in the Great War. This time Turua was the victim, and was defeated by eight games to four the light being too bad for the other game to be concluded. The scores were (Hikutaia names being given first): women's Singles.—Miss Brown beat Mrs? 7-6 : MiSS *’ Alley beat r-SRBfi*’ o —McGarvOy lost to H. Griffiths, ..—9; C. Elliott beat F.
