GASSED BY PETROL

MECHANIC COLLAPSES IN GARAGE PIT DISCOVERED UNCONSCIOUS Press Association HASTINGS, Today. An accident liable to happen to any motorist or mechanic unless he takes special precautions occurred to a local garage proprietor, B. Ogilvie. He was working underneath a car in the pit at his garage, but did not notice petrol dripping on to his clothes from a leaking carburettor. He was overcome by fumes and when found two hours later was lying on his face in a pool of benzine, unconscious. Although considerably burned by the action of the petrol he is progressing favourably.
