BOUFFANT TAFFETA FROCKS ARE WORN BY ATTENDANT MAIDS ATHEA—BODMIN The wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Alorrinsville. on Monday evening of Miss Ena Bodmin, only daughter of Mr. and Airs. W. C. E. Bodmin, of Hangawera Road, Morrinsville, to Air. Horace Atliea, of Island Bay, Wellington. Canon H. R. 8., Gillespie performed the ceremony, and Arr. F. A. Jennings played the wedding music. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of shell-pink satin beaute, with georgette yoke and hem. The skirt fell gracefully to the ankles, and was trimmed with silver. Her veil of shell-pink silk tulle with lace edging was held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums, freesias, carnations and roses, with silver leaves and maidenhair fern intertwined. The bridesmaids were Misses Mavis Sweetapple and Mona Spinley, who wore anklelength frocks of maize shot taffeta and powder-blue shot taffeta respectively, with felt hats to tone trimmed with velvet flowers and ribbons. Their bouquets were of golden chrysanthemums and blue delphiniums. Air. Ronald Athea was best man and Air. Ray Athea was groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Lounge Tea Rooms, where Airs. Bodmin received her guests wearing a frock of nut-brown french lace over georgette, with black pandan hat. Her bouquet was of autumn-tinted flowers. Airs. Athea, of Wellington, mother of the bridegroom, wore floral chiffon, trimmed with beige georgette. She wore a velour hat to match, and carried a bouquet of fuchsias in shades to tone with her frock.
