BRIDE GOWNED IN PINK CHOOSES NEW HARMONIES FOR MAIDS
BLUE AND WISTARIA MAUVE IS CHARMING COLOUR COMBINATION CARROU HOPKINSON The marriage was celebrated on Easter Monday at St. Benedict's Church of Mary, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Hopkinson, of Auckland, to Mr. Frederick Carroll. The Rev. Father O’Connor, of Frankton, officiated and nuptial mass was celebrated. Given away by her father, the bride wore a graceful gown of pale pink georgette made on simple lines. Her white embroidered tulle veil, which was caught with clusters of orange blossoms, fell to form a long train, and she carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers. The bride was attended by three maids, Miss Elizabeth "Wall, of Hamilton, who wore a frock of blue georgette, Miss Ruth Siswick, of Katahi, and Miss Muriel Hopkinson. wearing wistaria mauve georgette frocks. Their headdresses were of tiille to match their frocks, and they carried bouquets to tone. The flower girl was little Elva Brooks, of Auckland, who was in a frock of pale blue georgette She carried a posy of flowers. Mr. A. G. Clarke, of Dunedin, was best man and the groomsman was Air. A. ,T. Hopkinson. brother of the bride. After the ceremony a recepton was held at Nairn's Tea Rooms, where Airs Hopkinson received her guests wearing a frock of navy blue crepe de chine, relieved with fawn, and a hat to match. She carried a posy of autumn tints.
