GOLD MONEY RACING WELL
Two wins at the winter meeting at Ellerslie last year proved Gold Money to be a near champion, but she lias failed repeatedly in the interim and is now down near the bottom of the handicaps. Two races were exacted from her at the Ellerslie autumn meeting and she fared in an encouraging light. Forming one of the rear division in the Easter Handicap the daughter of Paper Money fairly flew in the concluding stages, and on the strength of this race there was a fair amount of support for the Ellerslie sprinter on the second clay'. But again she was slow to move, and the disadvantage she was at when they tLirned into the straight proved too much. Gold Money shaped really well on both occasions and her turn cannot be far off. The sprint at Avondale should suit her to a nicety, the long straight allowing her time to settle clown.
