PRETTY EVENING WEDDING

ATTENDANTS AT ELLERSLIE CEREMONY IN SOFT SHADES OF DAWN PINK AND BLUE BUTTERWORTH—HADFIELD On Saturday evening a wedding of interest took place at Christ Church, Ellerslie, when Dorothy Ethel, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hadficld, of Ellerslie, was married to Mr. Arthur George Kelly, elder son of Mrs- Butterworth, also of Ellerslie. The Rev. R. J. Stanton officiated at tho ceremony and Mrs. Sheweiry presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a dainty gown of ivory crepe de chine. The skirt, which was fashioned entirely of tiny frills, dipped to the bride’s ankles at the back. The brussells net veil fell in graceful folds from a coronet of orange blossoms to form a train. She carried’a bouquet of delicate pink dahlias and white chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by her cousin. Miss Gladys Jones, who wore a frock of dawn pink georgette with full flared skirt; also by Miss Florence Bayly, whose eau de nil frock was made with a corsage of embossed georgette and a flared georgette skirt. Each maid wore a tulle cap trimmed with diamente and carried a bouquet of shaded dahlias to tone.

The two little flower girls, Elsie Jones and Myrtle Piggens, cousins of the bride, were dressed alike in pale blue crepe de chine, with blue tulle head-dresses trimmed with pink roseI buds. Each carried a posy of pink ! and blue flowers. ! The duties o£ best man were carried out by Mr. David Butterworth, brother of the bridegroom, and Mr. Roland Piggens was groomsmen.

After tbe ceremony a reception was held at the Masonic Hall. The decorations were carried out effectively in pink, white and green, the supper tables having bowls of flowers in these shades.

Mrs. I-ladtield received the guests, wearing a frock of navy silk marocain. Her bouquet was of autumn-tinted dahlias. Mrs. Williams, aunt of the bride, assisted Mrs. Hadfield, and wore a frock of almond green silk marocaine.

Mrs. Butterworth, mother of the bridegroom, wore navy blue silk taffeta, with hat and coat to tone, and carried a posy in shades of brown and gold.
