OTAHUHU WEDDING
IVORY FROCK RELIEVED WITH SILVER PENNEY—NORTH The Holy Trinity Church, at Otaliuhu was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday evening, when Ethel Vera, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. North, of Huia Road, Otahuhu, was married to Sydney Arnold, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Penney, of Kaikohe. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a delightful gown of ivory crepe de chine, fashioned with a corsage of silver and lace„ and handkerchief pointed skirt, finished with a flower posy at the waistline. A prettily embroidered oval veil was arranged with sprays of orange blossom,’ and fell from the shoulders in a train. A handsome bouquet of cactus dahlias and maidenhair fern, tied with tulle streamers, was carried. Miss Gweneth Kevey attended as maid, wearing a pretty frock of dawn shaded georgette, finished with a posy and tiny flowers. A headdress of tulle relieved with gold was worn. Her bouquet was in shades to harmonise with her frock. Mi-. Richard Rouse acted as best man, while the Rev. T. Truman performed the marriage ceremonv and Mr. White presided at the organ. The Kingsford Hall was prettily decorated for the reception, where Mrs. ?n orth, mother of the bride, received her guests frocked in new green satin, with finishings of dull crepe de chine! and small hat to match. Mrs. Penney was attired in black crepe de chine, with coat of black cloth and felt hat. The bride’s travelling suit was of beige silk, worn under a coat in the same tone. AN ENGAGEMENT The engagement Is announced of .Ka.thleen elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Ford, of 4 Garden Road, Remuora, and Carl Errington, younger son of Mrs. and the late Mr. c. o. Tanner, of Havelock North, Hawke s Bay.
