FAREWELL TO POSTMISTRESS AT ORATIA A very bright dance social was held in Oratia on Saturday evening by the residents to bid farewell to Miss Peggy Naden who, for three years, has been postmistress and is leaving to be married shortly to Mr. IT. Bridisen, of Grey Lynn. Captain P. Theet, on behalf of the residents, presented Miss Naden with a handsome oak cabinet of cutlery. The Imperial Jazz Band supplied excellent dance music. Among those present were: Mrs. G. Holebar, Mrs. B. Giles, Mrs. S. Marinovich, Mrs. It. Malani, Mrs. A. Stubbs, Mrs. J. Harper, Mrs. J. Shaw. Mrs. M. Marinovich, Mrs. Vella, Mrs. J. Vella, Mrs. J. Butterfield, Mrs. S. Vranges, Mrs. Marten, Mrs. M. Vranges, Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Maxwell, Mrs. Beattie, Mrs. Cooper, Miss P. Theet. Misses Lila and Maude Cooper, Miss Joyce Beattie, Misses Annie, Violet and Daisy Marinovich, Miss Norma Marten, Miss Gwen Firth, Miss Mary Johnson, Misses Phyllis and Milly Sunde, Miss Dorrie Shaw, Miss Mary Wither, Miss Mary Silicli and Miss Dolly Butterfield.
