EUCHRE TOURNAMENT
QUEEN CARNIVAL FUND A very successful euchre tournament was held at Manawaru to assist the Thames Valley Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s queen carnival movement, the sum of £3l being raised. The trophies Were won by Afrs Emett and Mr. J. Walsh. Miss jJ. Clarke was chosen as the district’s" candidate in the queen carnival. Rev. K. Iy. Connolly presided at the annual meeting of the Girls' and Boys' Clubs, when there was a large attendance of members. Miss L. Lorie resigned as president owing to absence from Te Aroha, and was elected r patron of the club. The annual balance-sheet showed a good credit balance.
