ROAD BOARD’S GIFT TO OBSTETRICS

A lengthy discussion occurred at the meeting of the One Tree Hill Hoad Board last evening as to how large a donation would bo made to the obstetrics fund. It was pointed out that the district was already doing a great deal in the way of paying up and working for the cause. Mr. I. .T. Goldstine: All the same some gift should be made from the board itself. “Would £2 2s be a reasonable sum?” suggested Mr. Slyfield. The chairtnan, Mr. J. S. Hardwicke, thought two guineas was quite enough, and the motion was carried.
