HOBSON POWER BOARD
CHANGE OF NAME AUTHORISED From Our Own Correspondent DARGAVILLE, Wednesday. The Hobson Electric-Power Board yesterday adopted a motion to alter its name to “The North Auckland ElectricPower Board.” Mr. J. A. McLean, chairman. and Messrs. E. G. Appleton and J. H. McCarroll were appointed a committee to prepare a set of standing orders for ! subrrtission to the next meeting. It was considered now that the board had commenced to function on a more important scale, such would be necessary. One hundred and six applications for the position of secretary were dealt with by the committee and the board instructed the committee to set out in order of merit 12 selected applicants, the balance to be notified they had been unsuccessful.
