CRICKET COACHING

DISCUSSION AT HAMILTON From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Wednesday. The question o£ whether a permanent coach should be engaged was again discussed at a meeting of the. Management Committee of the Waikato Cricket Association this week. Mr. A. E. Gibbons considered that funds should be in hand before any engagement of a coach was arranged He thought the association should enter into a joint scheme with the Auckland Cricket Association and suggested alternatively that it might be possible to obtain the services of a man whs could undertake the combined duties of head groundsman and coach. This view was supported by Mr. S E. Senior, who considered an Australian coach would be preferable to an Englishman. A sub-committee was appointed tG investigate the matter.
