MR. G. S. LYNDE’S APPOINTMENT Press Association WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Five years’ service as chief mechanical engineer to the New Zealand Railwavs will be completed on April 15 by* ~ Mr. G. S. Lynde, whose engagement with the department will terminate on that date. The appointment of Mr. Lynde was made in accordance with a recommendation by the Fay - Raven railway commission, that steps be taken to appoint as chief mechanical engineer an officer fully qualified, and thoroughly conversant with up-to-date methods of railway working.
