HAURAKI ELECTORATE

LABOUR SELECTS CANDIDATE Advice has been received by the Hauraki branch of the New Zealand Labour Party that Mr. C. R. Petrie, J.P., has been selected as the official Labour candidate for the electorate. With the probability of an early election, arrangements are in hand for a comprehensive tour of the electorate by Mr. Petrie. Arrangements are also being made for Mr. M. J. Savage, M.P., deputy-leader of the party, to visit some of the larger centres. Mr. Petrie contested the last election, and was defeated by Mr. A. W. Hall, XI.P.
