Manchester magistrates granted Willie Smith (England) a summons against Clark McConachy (New Zealand), both noted billiards players, for alleged assault and threats. LITIGANTS AT PLAY In the billiards match Smith v. McConachy the scores are: Smith, 13,280; McConachy, 11,370. In the match Lindrum v. Newman, the scores are: Lindrum, 7,034, including breaks of 762 and 967; Newman (in play), 5,139.
