PUBLIC SERVICE BOWLS

PLAY IN SEMI-FINAL The semi-final of the Public Service bowling tournament was played on the Remuera green and resulted as follows: Moore, Tudehope, Faire, Newton (Lands and Survey), 24, v. Williams, Burke, Green, Haszard (Postal), 15. The game was even at the 12th head, when the score was 10 —9 in favour of the Postal team. However, Lands and Survey secured a 4 and 6 and that enabled it to secure a commanding lead which was maintained to the finish. Moore led well for Lands and Survey and the skip, Newton, was also in good form. Williams played a fine game for the Postal team.
