HIDE MARKET EASIER AUCKLAND PRICES An all-round decline was registered in the market for hides, sheepskins, and tallow at the fortnightly auctions held by the Auckland Woolbrokers’ Association yesterday. TAUMARUNUI STOCK SALE From Our Own Correspondent TAUMARUNUI, Tuesday. The yarding at the Taumarunui stock sale today consisted of 1,500 pigs. There was a good attendance, but only a few outside buyers operated, and consequently the sale was very dull, and all classes of stock were hard to quit under the hammer, several lines of sheep and cattle were passed in. Prices were as follow: —Weaner pigs, 11s to 14s. A line of 192 two-tooth ewes made 25s 4d; two-tooth ewes, 16s; mixed aged ewes, 10s 6d to 16s; old ewes, 6s to 7s; mixed sex lambs. 7s lOd to 13s; small wether lambs, 8s; rams, 28s to 33gns; fat steers, £7 6s; store cows, £4 ss; run cows, £2 10s; dairy heifers, £5 15s; mixed weaners. £2 15s; small weaners, 345; bulls. £4 5s to £ 6 ss.
