BEEF MARKET STEADY From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Tuesday. Tliere was a god demand for beef at the Frankton saleyards today, and the rates improved. Prices for sheen did not vary, while pigs were slightly easier. Fat steers made £l4 2s 6d; prime fat cows, £8 12s 6d to £lO 10s; lighter, £7 5s to £8 Is; plain fat cows, £5 9s to £7; runners, £3 15s to £5; yearling steers, £3 17s; dairy cows, £ 9 to £lO 10s; fat wethers, £1 7s 9d to £1 Ss 6d; light fat two-tooth wethers, £1 5s Id; fat lambs, £1 2s 2d to £1 4s sd; prime light and unfinished lambs, 19s 9d to £1 0s 3d: fat ewes, 15s 4d to 19s Sd: store woolly ewe lambs, 16s 3d to 16s 8d: small, 11s; woolly wether lambs, 14s 9d to 15s 3d; heavy baconers. £4 to £4 7s; medium. £3 12s to £3 16s: light baconers and heavy porkers, £3 to £3 10s: medium porkers, £2 10s to £ 216 s; lighter, £2 to £2 Ss 6d; unfinished porkers. £1 14s to £1 ISs; stores, £1 7s to £1 11s; slips, ISs to £1 4s; weaners, 10s to 13s-; smaller, 6s to Ss.
