CROQUET “AT HOME”
| MT. ALBERT CLUB ENTERTAINS j A successful “At Home” was held by the Mount Albert Croquet Club on their lawns on Thursday afternoon. A number of clubs were represented and a very pleasant time was spent playing: progressive croquet. The winners were:—A grade: Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Sinclair, Mrs. Jones, and Mrs. "Wilkin. B grade: Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Wann and Mrs. McKenzie. MUSIC FRIENDS FIRST MEETING OF NEWLYFORMED CLUB On Saturday afternoon the newlyformed Club of Music Friends held its first meeting. Miss Alice Law, the president, who entertained the members in the lounge of the Lyceum Club, gave an interesting talk upon “Scandinavian Music,” illustrated by violin and piano solos, duets and songs from the works of Greig, Sinding, Sibelius, Palmgren, and Svendsen. Enjoyable items were given by Miss Amy Stevenson, violin; Miss Veda Kelson, songs; and piano solos were played by Miss Law, also a duet with Miss .Mary Kaltran.
Miss Eleanor Brownlee was elected secretary.
Afternoon tea brought a successful meeting to a close.
