Competition Leaders Meet

THE last series of matches in the Auckland Cricket Association's senior A grade competition for the 1929-30 season will be commenced tomorrow and concluded the week after. With the championship already won by Parnell, the interest in these matches is not likely to be great, although a •good battle should result between the first and second teams on the table, Parnell and Varsity, respectively.

Parnell will be at full strength wit! Whitelaw back in its ranks. ant Smeeton will reappear for University Y.AI.C.A. plays Grafton on the second wicket at headquarters and or recent form a good even fight shoulc result, with the odds, if anything, or Grafton. Ponsonby meets United Suburbs or No. 3 wicket at Eden Park and shoulc have little difficulty in adding to its lisi of victories. Eden will travel to Nor ! Shore, where the Devon port men wi! have to display decidedly better forrr than they have done far some weeks past to hold the City side.
