NEW SEASON OPENED
The official opening of the Titirangi links for the season was held by tlie Alaungakiekio Golf Club on Saturday, under ideal conditions. There was a. large attendance of members and ifriends, and the links were in splendid order. During the afternoon members and friends .were the guests of the president, Air. W. J. A. Thomson, and .the club captain, Air. H. AI. Rogerson, at afternoon tea. Between 70 and SO players entered for the mixed bogey foursomes, which were * played during the afternoon. The winners were R. AI. George and Airs. C Robinson (10), 1 up. Other good cards handed in were:—S. Hunter and Aliss Churton (17), 1 down: W. J. Rodger and Airs. G. L. Taylor (14), 1 down; C. Robinson and Miss Laurence (14), 2 down; A. V. Pearce and Airs. O’Leary (9), 2 down; W J. A. Thomson and Airs. J. C. I inalay (8) 3 down; T. 11. Chapman and Airs, Bradman (14). 3 down; K.
