NAME FOR NEW PLANET
SCIENTISTS DISCUSSING SUGGESTIONS 4,900,009,009 MILES AWAY? NEW YORK, Saturday. Great scientific and popular interest has been aroused by the disccVery of the new planet. Two names most prominently suggested are “Pei-cival,” in honour of Professor Percival Lowell, and “Atlas.” It is stated that Professor Lowell was correct within six degrees of forecasting the'position of the body. It is estimated that the planet is 4,000,000,000 miles from the earth and that if any life exists on the planet it must be different from terrestrial life, since it is believed that nitrogen and oxygen are in solid form there.
