MANY PUBLIC BEQUESTS
KAIKGHE RESIDENTS WILL From Our Own Correspondent WHANGAREI, Friday. The will of the late Air. J. J. Linrlvart. of Kaikohe, in the Bay of Islands district, who died on Alarch 2, provides for the following legacies; £I,OOO, for the purpose and upkeep of a public recreation ground for th** township of Kaikohe. £I,OOO for the purchase, furnishing, equipment and upkeep of a public library at Kaikohe. £I,OOO to Dr. Barnardo’s Homes London. The residue of the estate is to bw divided into two equal parts, one part to be given to the Salvation Army in NTew Zealand, to be applied toward the maintenance and benefit of orphan children under the control of the Salvation Army. The remaining half is given in equal shares to the Anglican Bishop of Auckland, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland. the Alethodist Home Alission fund, Auckland, and the Presbyterian Social Service Association, to be used for and toward the maintenance and benefit of orphan children.
