BUS GETS OUT OF CONTROL ACCIDENT IN CITY I A large motor-bus owned by Aard j ; Alotor and Tourist Services mounted i the pavement and shattered a plateglass window in the shop of the Auckland Scale Company. Customs Street West, at about 10 o’clock last evening. The bus had just landed its passengers outside the Dilworth Building and was proceeding along Customs Street when it became out of control, mounted the pavement and smashed through the window., The plate glass of the window and j framework was broken, but the stock ; inside escaped damage. The proprie- ; tor of the shop could not be located • at the time and it was necessary for a j policeman to mount guard. The bus, which was not extensively j j damaged, was able to be driven away. ,
