FRUIT MARKETING
IMPROVING CONDITIONS FOR RETAILERS STANDARDISATION URGED Proposals for improving the marketing of fruit were discussed in Wellington when the New Zealand fruit letailers met at a conference, the main purpose of which was to prepare the retailers’ case in anticipation of the Government investigation of grading, packing and general marketing methods of fruit and vegetables. t Auckland was represented Mr. W. G. Shearer, the president, and Mr. H. G. Stacey, the secretary of the Auckland Retail Fruiterers’ Association. The conference chairman was Mr. J. W. Ranson, of Wellington.
