TENNIS TEAM TO PLAY IN CITY INVITATION TOURNEY Auckland tennis enthusiasts will be pleased to learn of the approaching invitation tournament to be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 20, 21 and 22, at the Stanley Street courts, which are being specially prepared for the event. In this tournament the four Australian players, Messrs. Kalms, Teague, Sproule and Donohoe, will be again seen in action, and their display when last witnessed in Auckland will attract all those who saw their first match. Entries will be received by the secretary, Mr. L. W. Swan, Lister Building. Victoria Street East, up to Wednesday, March 9, and the association particularly asks that all those available will make an effort to enter and provide a really good tournament. The courts recently laid down in the Domain by the Auckland City Council are now in play and proving very satisfactory. The damage suffered by the recent heavy rain is now repaired and a splendid surface is established. The. association will be using some of these courts on the next two Saturdays, .after which, and on weekdays now, the courts are available to the public on payment of a small fee to the caretaker in charge. The central position and ready accessibility of these courts will no doubt make a great appeal to those whose homes are situated in the vicinity of the-Domain.
