BOXING REVIVAL

AT WHANGAREI From Our Own Correspondent WHANGAREI, Today. With a view to forming a Northern Boxing Association, a meeting was held last evening, when 20 attended. Boxing in Whangarei has been defunct for some time and the prospect of commencing the sport again has been discussed lately The following committee was elected: Messrs. F. Strange, H. Scally, H. J. Preebe, W. A. Abbott, R. K. Trimmer, A. Cadman, J. G. Draper, C. D. Dawson, C. Gordon, G. Moore and A. B. Smith. E. .Trowern was appointed secretary. It was decided to apply to the Northern Boxing Association for affiliation.
