ESTIMATES FOR YEAR From. Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Thursday. The Waikato, Hospital Board decided today not to purchase “Norana.” the private hospital at Te Aroha, as was suggested previously by the Mayor at Te Arpha. It was also held to be inopportune to consider the establishment of furtlier hospitals in‘ the country districts. The hospital estimates for the coming year had expenditure fixed at £45,000. and the chief items included a new maternity ward- £II,OOO, administration block and doctors’ quarters £20,000, laundry £3,000, infectious diseases addition £3,500, additions to nurses’ home £1,500, repayment of loans £10,700.
