DEVONPORT WEDDING
ANKLE-LENGTH GOWN OF GUIPURE LACE BROOKER—LATIMER In a beautiful ankle-length gown of ivory guipure lace, with peplum of white georgette and deep collar falling from the shoulders, Miss Kathleen Lenore Latimer made a charming picture on the occasion of her marriage to Mr. Ludlow E. Brooker. She carried a bouquet of pale pink and white asters and cactus dahlias, and wore a lace-edged veil with design of appliqued lace. The wedding ceremony, which was conducted at the Devonport Presbyterian Church by the Rev. W. Lawson Marsh, was of considerable interest. The bride, who is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Latimer, was formerly a popular member of the Epsom Girls’ Grammar School staff, the bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Brooker, Wellington, is a welli known oarsman and footballer. Friends of the bride had charmingly decorated | the interior of the church with lemon and mauve flowers and asparagus fern. The bride was given away by her father, and attended by two bridesmaids —her sister, Miss Jean Latimer, who was in lime green floral georgette. with felt hat to tone, and Miss j Kona Brooker, sister of the bridegroom, who was in yellow floral georgette, with hat to tone. The best man was Mr. P. M. Brooker, and the groomsman Mr. Noel Bach. At a reception held afterward in the Masonic Hall, Devonport, the bride’s mother, Mrs. H. X. Latimer, wore leaf-brown marocain, with flared skirt and georgette trimmings. She wore a hat to tone, and carried a bouquet in bronze shades. Mrs. F. J. Brooker wore navy blue georgette with apricot trimmings, brown hat, and carried an apricot j bouquet. Among the guests were:—Mrs. S. TV. I Brooker, Mrs. E. A. McConnell, Mrs. J. I Ellison, Mrs. X.
