LORRY HITS TELEGRAPH-POLE
Crashing into a telegraph-pole in an endeavour to avoid a collision with a Passenger Transport bus on the Manukau Road at about 7.30 this morning, a motor-lorry laden with vegetables and driven by Loo Chew, turned a complete somersault and scattered vegetables in all directions. The driver experienced a lucky escape from serious injury, but the lorry was damaged.
