SHELL COMPANY PICNIC
The Shell Oil Company employees held their annual picnic in fine weather at Ferndale yesterday. More than 300 persons were present and a successful day was spent in organised games and athletics. Following are the results:—Women's championship: Miss Lucas, 1; Miss Millar, 2. Married women’s race: Mrs. Kerr, 1; Mrs. Harris, 2. Shell championship (men): 1. Sergeant, 1; J. Wilson, 2. Office handicap: F. S. Stubbs, 1; I. Sergeant, 2. Installation handicap: J. Wilson, 1; V. Kerr, 2. Transport handicap: C. Davis, 1; C. Jenkinson, 2. Married men’s race: V. Kerr, 1; J. Monteith, 2. Obstacle race, SSOyds: F. S. Stubbs. 1; A. Murray, 2. Relay race: Installation team. Tug-of-war:' Office team. __
