SHEEP THEFTS ALLEGED

FARMER SENT FOR TRIAL Press Association MASTERTON, Wednesday. A farmer, William Baron, of Pigeon Bush, appeared in the Featherston Magistrate’s Court today before Mr. J. Miller, S.M., charged with the theft of five sheep, valued at £7 10s, the property of Morgan Davies, of Pigeon Bush. Accused pleaded not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court at Masterton for trial. Evidence was given by a stock inspector and others that, in their opinion, the sheep in question, had had their earmarks changed, before which operation they considered the owner was Davies.
