£2,d00 awarded labourer
ACCIDENT IN RAILWAY SHOP Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. The full amount of his claim, £2,000, was awarded by a jury in the Supreme Court to Horace John Moon, a labourer, who had brought a petition of right against tffe Crown. The case was the aftermath of a fatal accident at the Moero Railway Workshops last May, when a railway employee was killed and three others injured by the falling of several heavy steam heaters. Moon, who was severely injured, would, according to medical evidence, suffer permanent disability, heavy work in futube being quite impossible for him.
