PICTURES RECOVERED
NINE FROM MANUKA WRECK
MR. FULLER’S COLLECTION Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. Mr. Murray Fuller received news on Saturday from Owaka that nine additional pictures have been recovered from the Manuka wreck area. The pictures have not yet arrived in Wellington and Mr. Fuller is not certain as to the condition of the salved works. However, the fact that the titles of some have been got from the back of the canvas proves that they must be in fair order.
The titles of the oil-paintings recovered are: “Down the Falling Stream,” by S. J. Lamorna Birch; “Moonlight Off Falmouth,” by Julius Olsson; “After the Bathe,” by Algernon Talmage; "Land’s End,” by Dame Laura Knight; “The Transient Hour,” by Lucy Kemp-Welch; “Fishermen at Concaneau,” by Sydney Thompson; “The Old Nurse,” by Harold Speed. Another described as “An interior with a chair and a table before the window.” is probably an interior by Tames Durden, R. 0.1.
