NEW GOLF SECRETARY
MR. M. E. WARD APPOINTED TO MAUNGAKIEKIE LENGTHY EXPERIENCE Mr. M. E. Ward has been appointed to the secretaryship of the Maungakiekie Golf Club. The position became vacant some little time ago, as a result of the then secretary, Mr. Sloan Morpeth, taking up a similar appointment in Australia. Mr. Ward has had lengthy previous experience as secretary of the club. He held office for 15 years, with the exception of three years’ war service. Mr. Ward has also had considerable experience as the secretary of other sports bodies in Auckland. He is at present secretary of the New Zealand and Auckland Journalists’ Associations.
