RESULTS FROM PALMERSTON NORTH Press Association PALMERSTON N., Wed. The Dominion croquet tourney was continued today. Results were as follow: Championship Doubles. Mesdames Gambrill (Manawatu) and Pitcaithley (Hastings) defeated Mesdames Bartlett (Hamilton) and Spring (Manawatu), 26—12 in the final, retaining the title, which they captured last year. Open Championship.—Third round: Mrs. Tiffen (Napier) beat Mrs. Gambrill, 26—9, 26—18. Women’s Championship, first life.— Third round: Mrs. Pitcaithley beat Mrs. Lowry, 26—8. Second life, first round: Mrs. Watters (Nelson) beat Mrs. Coutts, 2G —12; second round, Mrs. Watters beat Mrs. Halliday (Dunedin), 26—19; third round, Mrs. Jarvie (Wanganui) beat Mrs. Caldow, 26 —18.
