RELIEF FOR IMMIGRANT

SUFFERER FROM ANTHRITIS From Our Own Correspondent WHANGAREI, Today. The case of an immigrant suffering miner’s anthritis. was discussed at the Whangarei Hospital Board meeting. It was stated that the man had been in New Zealand three years, and had been passed as fit by doctors. He and his family had been receiving charitable aid from the Whangarei Hospital Board for some time. The man was lit for light work, and it was considered unfair that he should be employed on relief work when not fit to do it. It was decided to continue the payment of relief to the family meantime, and to ask the man to present himself a.t the hospital for examination.
